Hi, I am Preeti Chandra . A designer, a storyteller and an eternal admirer of all things handmade.

Where It All Began

My earliest memories are stitched with the soft rustle of handwoven fabrics and the shimmer of chikankari. My mother, Rita, had an eye for all things handmade — a quiet devotion to elegance, detail, and the beauty of Lucknow’s craft. She taught me that true style lives in restraint, and that what is made by hand is made with heart. Her love for fine embroidery and timeless silhouettes still guides every piece I design. My father, Jetinder—with his old-school charm and crisp pocket square—quietly shaped my eye for elegance

My love for craft

Our collections blend old-world charm with thoughtful modernity. Flowing anarkalis, embroidered kurtas, tissue saris, chanderi sets — all handcrafted in limited quantities. We use age-old embroidery techniques like mukesh, badla, moti, and cutdana, working in fabrics that breathe, drape, and endure — mul, chanderi, pure georgette. Each piece is stitched not just with thread, but with care, silence, and story.

My Design Philosophy

I believe in creating pieces that feel like memory. Not loud. Not fleeting. But timeless — in design, inspirit, in soul. Every garment I create begins with a story a monument, a poem, a moment from the past. I work with artisans who carry centuries of skill in their hands — from the subtle intricacy of Lucknow’s chikankari to the gleaming zari of Banaras. These are not just clothes to me. They are heirlooms of emotion. Made slowly, with intention.

My Inspirations:

My soul is drawn from India’s sacred cities —Lucknow, Banaras, Delhi — places where heritage lives in walls, rivers, and hands. Whether it’s the paisley of Rumi Darwaza or the shimmer of a Banarasi ghat, you’ll find echoes of culture in every design. I don’t just draw from history — I clothe you in it.

My Muse

I design for women who love grace without excess. For those who find beauty in restraint, elegance in ease. My muse wears heritage like a second skin. She chooses pieces that speak softly but stay with her forever. I believe true style isn’t about how loud you dress — it’s about how long your clothes live with you.

Rooted in craft, raised in elegance

At Preeti Chandra Design, we don’t follow trends — we follow time. Time, as preserved in a karigar’s hand. Time, in silhouettes passed down like family stories. Time, in the quiet poetry of a Lucknawi thread. Preeti Chandra Design is a love letter to India’s artisanal heritage — told through classic silhouettes, fine hand embroidery, and the soft rustle of legacy.

My earliest memories are stitched with the soft rustle of handwoven fabrics and the shimmer of chikankari.

A Note from Preeti.

“I’ve been designing for over two decades, but I still get moved every time I see a karigar quietly working — hands steady, heart full. That is the emotion I try to bring into every piece we make. It should never feel mass-made. It should feel like home.”
